About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy the world and make it a better place :)

ABOUT ME

I'm usually a quiet and nerdy person and I enjoy modern art (however you define art, isn't everybody an artist? or a scientist?), movies and books and stuff, but hey, you need to let go sometimes, so I do crazy things such as giving up your sofa to someone ;) from time to time.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to enjoy whatever happens. Stoic, I would guess.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So recently my lovely flatmate has decided that we could host some people in our flat in North Greenwich - I guess that's how I roll the Couchsurfing world then! I'm also up for getting a drink (usually weekends though).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I often host both people I know (and their friends I didn't know before) - on and off this site. I have also couchsurfed around Oslo - pretty good experience!

Interests

Computer science, Movies, Travelling, COOKING! :D - I can bake you muffins; Drama, Performative arts - although rather in the audience than performing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently: Jane the Virgin ❤️, House of Cards, Almodóvar, some strange indie stuff, The Beautiful Mind, Requiem for a Dream, Eraserhead. Cidade de Deus had an amazing soundtrack.

For Music - indie rock, Sigur Rós, anything from Iceland, Chicago soundtrack, some good electro from time to time, and well, it much depends on the current weather/mood.

Books: Non-fiction (Kapuściński, Solzhenitsyn, Kącki etc.), The Handmaid's Tale, 1984, The Lord of the Flies, Wilde, some essays of Eco

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing things include moving to a new country after high school - the most fabulous city of Edinburgh, going onto a tidal island and staying there for a whole tide cycle, hopping islands near Gothenburg, drinking cider on top a volcano (well, not really an active volcano, but still!) at midnight etc etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I've got a knack for computers, linguistics, psychology and philosophy. My mother tongue as well, I guess.

Learn: Languages (Scandinavian languages sound just lovely, but really any language is a precious skill), more stuff about psychology or philosophy, playing musical instruments, fashion design :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

People say I cook/ bake well - maybe that? :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Norway, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In
