About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Dream-plan is Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris!

ABOUT ME

- Knock knock.
- Who's there?
- I am.
- I am who?

And this is when my joke starts to get difficult to continue. Not everyday you have to express yourself by pressing keyboard buttons, right? But since it's all about TRAVELLING, really big deal, I will do my best.

I could ask my mom to describe me, but I already know the answer - lazy teenager who always has mess in his room. And this is very interesting, because from my experience I know that my room is much cleaner than average girls' room. ALSO, THE DISHES DON'T MAGICALLY CLEAN THEMSELVES, MOM. Going further, if I asked my dad, he would only smile and shake his head - not very descriptive and helpful. Desperate, I asked my dog (Bonnie) what did she think of me, but the only answer I got was 'WOOF', so the conversation was finished and I was forced to give her delicious snacks - it always ends like this, it always does.

So it seems that I can rely only on myself in this one. Well, I was born in a cool hospital - cosy, but not a fancy type - ,after a while I tried to walk, but damn, it was even harder than playing puzzles with my grandma. After the period of hide and seek and riding in a bicycle gang, I realised that there is low probability of me becoming Spider-man in the future, so I decided to choose second-coolest life path that fits my personality - being a doctor. And this is how throughout 18 years of living evolved a person who likes foreign fuzzy-drinks, Family Guy, vinyl records, books about fascinating medical cases, Bill Murray, playing basketball and going to sleep last at the parties. I think that because I want to dedicate my life to others, you could say that I'm kind andunderstanding type of person, and a good listener too. Now, when I'm after 1st year of medicine I still have 4 years of being complete no-life ahead, I thought that it's best to do the opposite of being no-life, so travel. Well, I hope that with a little help from my foreign friends we can make my dream-plan come true :)

PHILOSOPHY

No matter what is waiting for you there, after your life, you should do as much good to the world as possible. And be happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Together with my friend we want to visit some countries and have the super-awesome time, and we hope that friends from CS will help us, but of course any guests are welcome to stay in our houses, too :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great hitchhiking trip in 2012, visiting Krakow, Budapest, Vienna, Prague and Wroclaw! After this trip I can onlsy say that hitchhiking + couchsurfing = BEST. HOLIDAYS. EVER.

Interests

I try not to waste my time, however sometimes it's preeeeeeeetty hard, since I like to sleep. But when I don't, I usually meet my friends and THEN do some stuff - everytime it's something different so it's hard to write about it here, but I can tell you that once I ended up sleeping on a basketball field, the other time at the airport (no, I wasn't flying anywhere.) One of the things that are really important in my life is music. You would mostly find Joy Divison records on my mp3 player, but not only - also Moby, Jack White, R.E.M. and some other stuff. I also have vinyl adapter after my grandfather, and still I'm extending his vinyl collection. I play myself in a band (vocals), Kitty Saloon. I like to watch good movie in the evening if I have time to do so. Favourite one? "Lost in Translation'. I like to stay active ( in other words - don't get fat), so I often play basketball, ride a bicycle or run. I love to visit new places, and I hope that these experience in travelling will be helpful in the future, when after finishing medicine I want to go to Africa and work voluntarily (again, it's only a plan, but fingers crossed!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hope that everything is still ahead of me, because I haven't done or seen so many amazing things, at least so amazing to write about them in this section.

I definetely felt great after jumping from a big cliff to the sea in a small village in Norway - God, that water was cold! But the adrenaline, the view.... words can't describe. Another time, me and my friend decided to ride on a bicycle to Poland's biggest headland, without any preparation. And so I made it, 100 kilometers in two days on a shitty bicycle. Even after only 50 km, when I was standing at the end of the headland, I felt like the king of the world, as it was one of the hardest things I've ever tried in my life. One of my greatest memories is also the view of streets in Barcelona at night. I know it's weird, but for me streets in some cities are as beautiful as many monuments - I can't tell you why, this is just how it is.
But not every 'awestruck' moment in my life was positive. For example, I will never forget the first time I visited Children Oncological Hospital as a volunteer - it can really influence your day(s).
And of course, my hitchhiking trip. I've never felt so free and independent as when travelling with my best friend across various countries, having plan only for the next day. lot's of people, lot's of views, memories, photos - just amazing.
