Overview
About Me
student, social democrat, vegetarian, traveller, idealist, activist, audiophile, pacifist, feminist, introvert, bookseller, manager, theologian, human
Am I really that which other men tell of?
Or am I only what I myself know of myself?
Restless and longing and sick, like a bird in a cage,
Struggling for breath, as though hands were compressing my throat,
Yearning for colors, for flowers, for the voices of birds,
Thirsting for words of kindness, for neighborliness,
Tossing in expectations of great events,
Powerlessly trembling for friends at an infinite distance,
Weary and empty at praying, at thinking, at making,
Faint, and ready to say farewell to it all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best way of living a life is travelling. The best way of travelling is to meet locals and live a part of your life with them. I see treasure in meeting, seeing, smelling, feeling, tasting, talking, eating, drinking, partying with new people, unknown cultures at unknown seas, lakes, mountains, rivers and deserts. Couchsurfing seems to be the best option to get to this treasure as close as possible.

Books - I don't have a website for that :D I've been reading mostly political books lately (eg. Timothy Snyder, Naomi Klein, Jan Sowa). I have quite a collection of theology and religion-related books. When it comes to fiction I admit I haven't had much time lately for that, but I'd give some names - Eco, Konwicki, Wilde, Keret, Orwell.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I made a speech from a platform during this year's Equality Parade in Warsaw. The feeling of freedom mixed with an enormous stress and a view of hundreds of people cheering and listening to what I had to say - that was glamourous.
Teach, Learn, Share
As much as possible. With and from open, accepting, smart and funny people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
While travelling I can see a few ways to return the favour to the hosts. I could bring cheap cigarettes (not too eager), pay in sweets/food brought from home (quite eager) or pay in alcohol we'd dring together (very eager). I'd also cook something for the hosts at the spot.
Countries I’ve Visited
