ABOUT ME

At the moment, I live and study in Oldenburg (north-west Germany), which combines urban attitudes and the scent of the countryside.
My time here is drawing to its close, which is about the only thing that is certain for the time being.
I'd like to work in nature and on envirionmental issues in the future and wouldn't be indisposed to do so somewhere abroad.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a couple of travellers during my stay in Paris.
I never really warmed to this city, but definitely got closest to it while strolling around with my guests. I'm very grateful for the time we spent together.

Music, Movies, and Books

On top of my "favorite music"-list appear: Bruce Springsteen, Buena Vista Social Club, Nils Landgren, Toto, Dire Straits and Mozart - there are loads of others farther down, though.
Books (and stories) that have accompanied me over the past decade are: The Pillars of the Earth, Harry Potter, Tales of the Otori.
I have had the pleasure to admire works of Monet, De Nittis, Van Gogh and those of other impressionist - they leave me flabbergasted.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was on several occasions quite fascinated by the miraculous metamorphosis of the (yet elaborate) mixture of some water and ground corn in a hot oven.
