About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am currently living in Quito, Ecuador completing a masters program. Absorbed in life and studies here as well as back home in California. Hoping to see more of Ecuador before I leave!
ABOUT ME
I call Northern California in the US home. I am currently a masters student for a two-year program (2010-2012) at FLACSO in Quito, Ecuador studying gender and human rights. I love riding my bike, walks and hikes outdoors, cooking, analyzing the world with friends, good beer and coffee, and playing guitar when I get a chance.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live in the present as much as possible, to enjoy each moment, to love deeply and genuinely, to remind those I love that I love them. I would like to make the world a better place and think starting with myself is a great place to start. I like to keep life simple and calm and take great pleasure in little things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We don't have a place for anyone to sleep in our house here in Quito, unfortunately, but when I do, I think it would be fun to host. In the meantime, I hope to meet some great people passing through or when I travel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to Couch Surfing, but I've had many many friends tell me stories about both hosting and surfing. They've had great experiences. I went on a hike once here in Quito that a couchsurfer organized and had a great time. I think Couchsurfing is a great idea and like how it revives some of that good 'ol neighborly trust and community in our globalized world!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For sure, my favorite trip ever was the 4-day solo bike trip I did in 2010 down the California Coast! I want to do it again!
