About Me

I'm an artist, researcher, child of academics and taurus, hidden afrofuturist tropical rebellion

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, have fun, learn, live cheap, and enjoy the scenery

Interests

Im a simple pleasure person. I like to be minimal, and find sacredness or symbolism in every ritual. Ive been blessed by the opportunity to hang out with different people.

I have a masters degree in forestry in coffee farming watersheds in Venezuela , and Ive studied soils and west coast forests in my undergrad.

I like to get really into the places where I go; it can be hard to connect with the peoples art, places and food culture as an act of spiritual growth, revolution and transformation. Im especially interesed in walkable livelihoods and sustainable small-scale food systems, and regenerative growth, related to marginalized experiences. My favourite places are local markets, family stores, forest trails, cafes, street life and dance events.

Im here to find different combinations, perspectives and patterns to solve pressing issues, and seek anwers based on others' experiences, but I can also burn out mentally- I often eat chips and salad in a culture shock, and hide on an electronic device. Im here to build respectful, responsible, mutual benefitial intrepid community. I can make an inappropriate joke or two

  • laughing
  • dance

Music, Movies, and Books

I like electro tropical music and all amazing sound

Im into Umberto Echo, mythology, ancient and middle ages, urban planning, street or alternative world views

I like cheap orginal scripts and hollywood movies that make me want to unearth north americas wild side.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked the Amazon and it was really wet

Teach, Learn, Share

I can dance, and write. Im also a good cook and love exploring markets and shopping for strange new items, fashion, and books

I obsessively research. It's in the family.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Intellectual conversation, a hand in a creative melt down, jokes, interesting perspective, dinners, plant therapy, and idea bouncing. I know about making creative interventions. I also like to think of creative businesses, art projects, and have experience creating grants and am quite deep into community arts management, research and making places for gender marginalized, futuristic, and multicultural perspectives.
Im good at approaching strangers, assessing if something pervasive is dodgy, hanging out with family, kids, and older folks, going grocery shopping and giving company for regular ol' boring chaos.
I will watch that weird youtube video with you on something thats totally you. And Im also very independent
