About Me
Researcher in biology. Manchester based. I work with zebrafish. I get around. I can use a camera. Perpetual couchsurfer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have a degree in Anthropology and this is where it all begins. It made me extremely observant and installed an evergreen curiosity for travel, culture and otherworldly experiences.
I have been travelling regularly since 2013. I used to be able to feel satisfied with travelling wherein I'd stay in hotels, try some local food and bring back 10 good photos and later on, look at the photos and reminisce the good times. Then, I went to Ruse, Bulgaria, and stayed with my best friend, in his village. I met so many people and encountered amazing hospitality. Then came more trips to Bucharest, Wrocław and Jyväskylä, during all of which I stayed with my friends who are locals from these cities. I then realised that the experience of travel is incomplete until one has spent some time with the people. And this is why I am on couchsurfing. Instead of seeing it as a reasonable means of travel, I see it as an essential experience :)
Unlike a lot of people on here who write essays on how much they "like other cultures, other people, etc.," but who can't bother to reply, I will always reply. Let's not forget the spirit of this community :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have had my photo published on the cover of Lonely Planet magazine!
I watched a Eurovision semifinal live (Lisbon '18)!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am skilled at cooking soups! I am also very happy to share my experiences of travel. I live in a studio flat and therefore, there is a single room and a kitchen. The bathroom is shared. I am unable to accept requests for more than one person as my flat is tiny!
