CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
I'm still discovering myself. The little I do know about myself is that I don't do boring; don't do small. I'm a nerd with a side of Chuck Norris. I've often found myself beginning a Saturday at my favorite downhill mountain trail on my bike and ending it with an online RPG on my gaming PC.
I tend to go with the flow of things... wherever it takes me. It's a dangerous attitude to have, but it is my sole work ethic. I also like to take my time with things. Doing things well is way more important for me than doing things fast.
I'm probably an old soul, since I enjoy the company of people older than me as much as I enjoy being around people of my own age.
Have recently realized that navigating the world is not as easy as it seemed when I was little. But I enjoy this new challenge.
PHILOSOPHY
An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently I'm taking some time off from college to spend the summer with my family here in New Delhi. I don't have any official time constraining commitments, so I do have time on my hands. I'd love to show surfers around my city and get to know them and myself in the process! :)
When I'm back in Baltimore, since I'm a junior living in a college dorm, I can't provide any space whatsoever. But I will definitely provide an awesome couch (yup, I'll make sure it's awesome!) somewhere near the Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus once I start living on my own as an upperclassman. For now, I'd love to show people around Baltimore and especially Johns Hopkins. So if you're interested in visiting the university, I'd be glad to tell you all about it.
Definitely looking to explore the world during my breaks from college - like the one I'm in right now, and in the process, explore myself.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My family and I have hosted a number of international visitors for my mom's social work program. I've also had a lot of my friends from the US stay with me and explore India.
I haven't yet been a surfer, but I hope to someday.
Interests
Figuring out who I am, exactly what it is I want and what I should do with my life. Cliched, I know - but true nevertheless. Besides that:
Entrepreneurship, Computer Science, Psychology, Biotechnology and exploring the different problems the people of the world face and figuring out solutions to them.
Also, having fun. Always interested in having tons of fun! And finding out more ways of having fun! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I cried the day they aired the final episode of Scrubs. Dr. House is my idol (And no, I don't wanna be a doctor.) I see myself in Sheldon Cooper, although I'm not nearly as much of a super nerd as he is and am much more enjoyable to be around.
Lately I've been hooked to Lena Dunham's HBO show 'Girls'. If you aren't, you should be.
Christopher Paolini, with his Inheritance cycle, inspired me to start writing when I was 15. Verne's Around the World in 80 days continues to inspire me. The first time I cried while reading a book was when I was reading Charles Dickens. Lately most of my reading has involved stuff from school exclusively. A pity, really.
Part of my music has helped me get out of some really stressful situations in my life. To say that good music is important to me would be an understatement.
Oh, and I am a gamer of level GOD. I've clocked many noob crushing hours on Left 4 Dead 2 and the NBA 2K games. The Steam platform is like my second home. I also hope to be able to design games in the future.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Met a couple of amazing people on a plane from London to New Delhi whom I'd never met before and made the unlikeliest of friends sitting miles above the Earth.
Lived in India for 18 years, where amazing things happen every day of the week. Not enough space here to mention all of them.
Teach, Learn, Share
I consider myself proficient at programming, writing stuff, being late, procrastinating, engaging myself in deep introspection only to realize that I'm an ever shifting, infinite, unsummarizable, kind of unknowable entity, much like the universe, except smaller, more fearful, funny, sweaty, tired, childish, and way more interested in human companionship, so I guess nothing like the universe.
Haha, but yeah, I'm good at anything I put real effort into.
And I'm always looking to share as much as I can about everything I know. Sharing stuff for me is fulfilling. What's even more fulfilling is the idea of being able to help someone with something important in their lives. That would give that relationship a greater meaning.
And of course, every person is an unending book I too can learn from. Like their work ethic, their views about the world, so on and so forth. I need to know about all that in order to form my own world view.
