Overview
About Me
Our path crossed in 2010 during our working holiday trip in New Zealand, soon became travel buddies and got married in 2014. This year, we embark on our ultimate trip around the world.
Hi! I'm Jane. I was born in a wee village in North Borneo where I spent most of my childhood helping my parents at the paddy field (read: playing mud), selling ice cream at the neighbourhood and discovering new places with my dad, who's dubbed as uncertified Bear Grylls. Upon finishing college, I worked as a graphic designer to bank up for my big adventure.
Kunihiko, or Kuñi, if he is to introduce himself, grew up in a sub urban in Nagoya. Growing up, he is an adventure enthusiast who is almost certified in everything from advance scuba diving to paragliding. He's also a kitchen friendly IT engineer who cooks excellent Japanese dishes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We believe traveling is not just visiting the place but to embrace the culture and lifestyle. We're a pair who enjoy meeting people, exchanging stories (and foods) and experience new things as a local.
Interests
Our interests range not only on outdoors activities such as camping, hiking, climbing, paragliding, diving etc. We also love cooking and baking while enjoying good sips of coffee or beer.

Music, Movies, and Books
Our bedtime story is often the outdoor gears' catalogs. Otherwise it's the collection of Lonely Planet's travel books heavily marked with neon color marker and hoarding lots of post-it notes. We don't mind watching any genre of movies and sometimes let the movie watches us sleeping. Music is a universal language it's hard to choose a favourite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Get married to each other. Period!
Teach, Learn, Share
It's 1 of our bucket list to do volunteering; building schools, teaching and sharing knowledge and experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Apart from our experiences and travel stories, we can share some recipes from around the world including our specialty, sushi and Kota Belud's noodle soup.
