ABOUT ME

Well, now I guess it's about time I fill out this box too..

I consider myself a very positive person, who might not be as extrovert as I want myself to be, but I hope I can work on that now that I finally have the money and time to travel. I can't wait to meet a lot of new people and have a lot of fun! I just wanna try everything I haven't tried yet- if you wanna help me with that, don't hesitate to write me! :P

I am very open to new people and alternative looks on life. I like people who think about their life, and I like people who cares about others, and don't judge them right away. And also people who create some kind of art. Writing, singing, playing music, painting, drawing or something. I'm so jealous at people who play the guitar. I really wanna learn it.. or learn how to play piano, that would be awesome too. I do a bit of writing myself, but nothing to mention. It's just for my own sake.

Other than that I love listening to music, going to concerts (!), going to town in the weekends to party, having fun with nice people. And I have a little idea that I'd like to try photographing (or what is it called?), but I have absolutely no experience in this field, so please teach me someone! I also enjoy a quiet evening with friend(s), just hanging out, or maybe having a cup of coffee at a café or something like that. You don't have to do a lot all the time to have fun. The quiet evenings with a minimum of words are sometimes the best to look back at :)

Hmm what else can I tell.. As you've probably guessed my name is Henrik, I'm 21 and come from a little town in Denmark called Hammel. But it's only 25 kilometers from the second largest city (Århus), so I'll be alright hehe. Anyways I'm moving to Århus as soon as I get back from Canada, Nepal, Cambodia (whereever I end up going within the next 1½ year), since I'm going to study for engineer in Århus. Unless I found out something else to do.

Other than that I like watching soccer, lying in a field watching the sky on a hot summerday, walking around in the rain thinking, looking at the stars, dreaming about the universe and all the things beyond.. I guess I'm kind of a dreamer..

Hmm I might mention too that after I finished gymnasium (I guess it's about the same as high school) here in Denmark I was in the military with the Royal Danish Guards for 8 months. If you've been to Denmark you might have seen me or someone like me. It's the guys with the silly bear hats guarding the palace of the queen in the middle of Copenhagen. You can see some pictures of me in uniform infront of the palace here in my profile :) After my time as a Royal Danish Guard I've been working at different places. Mostly as a temporary worker, and now I finally have the funds to go travelling!

Vancouver here I come! The plan is to be in Canada most of 2008, and then go to Nepal/Cambodia/Laos in the spring 2009. But many things can change!

I've surfed a couch two nights in Burnaby, Vancouver. I'd like to do a lot more couchsurfing though! My couch is not available for a while since I'm travelling, but it will be sometime in the futue when I get home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
