À propos de moi

I am a Hotel Management Graduate and I run my own Farmhouse as a home stay in the rural part of Imphal near the airport called Eco Heritage Villa

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

To host travellers, tourists or corporates travelling to my hometown Imphal Manipur, a state in the north eastern part of India, and help them better understand and experience our unique culture through cultural tourism, heritage tourism, traditional tourism. We are firm believers of saving our planet earth and practice and promote Eco Tourism, self sustainability by growing our own rice, vegetables, fruits, spices, herbs organically as we eat what our guests eat too . We also farm our own poultry, ducks, dairy and fish also. We’ve been practising permaculture for more than 3 decades so our guests will get to experience what living inside a food forest jungle truly feels like. We are firm believers in experiential tourism so we make specially curated tour packages for every kind of person as we believe each individual is different in their own unique way and we design them according to their needs and requirements. As a responsible member of our community we also help local craftsman & craftswomen sell their finished handicrafts and handlooms in our Villa to develop their crafts and enhance their lifestyle too. Adventure seekers get to see the local craftsman & craftswomen in action while they’re working and helps motivate the craftsman & craftswomen’s morale in times of need, lucky Guests even get to participate in the process of creating or making it rarely if workload is less. Our village consists of mostly farmers, so if any produce runs short in the kitchen we go & collect it from our neighbour farmers, so price is low while it’s fresh as fresh it can ever be. Lucky guests get a chance to participate in the harvest of rice, vegetables, fruits, herbs, spices, mustard seeds for extracting oils, grinding our own herbs & spices even based on what time of the year it is. So we welcome everyone to experience what tourism in its purest form was before it became modernised. To wake up not from a telephone in the front desk, but to the pleasant sounds of birds chirping away pleasant melodies at first sunrise, to fall asleep not scrolling through your phones but to the humming buzz of insects reminding you that you are a part of nature too. Taking nature walks hand in hand with your loved ones or all by your self forgetting what the time of the day it is (as it should be when ur on vacation). Sitting on a swinging glider at night and just gazing at the stars with your better half hoping for a shooting star to fly by so both of you can make a happy wish just for the sake of it or a real one if you wish to. Spending a worthwhile honeymoon away from all the distractions, pollution and noise of the metro cities where you and your life partner really get to know each other with nature just nudging both of you closer to each other (while being budget friendly unlike Europe which burns a huge hole in ur pocket). We’ve had burnt out IT professionals stay with us when there was an overload of work on the IT industry during COVID waves 1 & 2. Heart patients are advised by doctors to stay at properties like ours as it’s quiet and oxygen levels are high due to all the different varieties of trees we’ve planted and high bamboos which grows naturally. Phew!! We can go on with the list of things you can experience here in the Villa but we get a feeling y’all get the drift of where we’re going with this. So if you wish to reconnect with nature and need a staycation on a pocket friendly budget in an unexplored region like the northeastern part of India at a remote state called Manipur, why look anywhere else!
