I'm living on a traditional "narrowboat" in/around London. I love it!
I'm currently (28/06/2020) moored near Cheshunt station https://en.mapy.cz/zakladni?x=-0.0174394&y=51.7086749&z=19 (~25min to London via train) and I'm moving slowly further down the river Lea, every 2 weeks ~2km further south (so you can calculate more or less where I'll be). It's a really great green environment, perfect if you want to escape the (too?) busy city life for a bit :~)
Please be prepared for a boat-style living, which means there is somewhat less comfort than in a normal house (e.g. no, or few hot showers ...)

Due to relatively high demand of hosting requests, I don't respond to all request messages, particularly when they attest of few interest. I've had a few people who even didn't notice I'm living on a boat, while it's the first sentence here. I don't mind "impersonal requests" so much, but I've noticed it can lead to disappointments when people have expectations.

I like to invent stuff! I first spent a part of my life on musical instruments inventions (such as my PhD project on the development of an electronic mouthpiece for acoustic wind instruments or: https://kurijn.wordpress.com ), and useless things such as an automatic curtain-opener to wake me up in the morning (mainly due to the noise and not so much because of the sunlight, haha).
Now I'm moving towards a greater contribution, it is taking shape, little by little. It's still involving invention and engineering, but it will be a more direct answer to great necessities in the world.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

This traveling style and sharing is very intuitive and human to me.

I felt a strong attraction to get more involved... so that's what I do now! But it remains a challenge not wanting to help everyone! I need time for myself...

I used to wander around in eastern European countries (I love Ukraine for instance), and I encountered great persons and situations this way. Then I discovered further destinations, south America, Ethiopia, Egypt,... And now I limit my travels to when it is necessary. I don't need vacation anymore as a way of escape, so it's easy enough :~)

Música, películas y libros

Any music that is made genuinely. I love to discover music I previously disliked.
I further like music that tries to propose something else... Free jazz for example, or free music rather.
The same goes for films and books! I loved Dostoevsky's "The Brothers Karamazov"!
