Overview
About Me
Asheville native. UNC Charlotte graduate with a double major in history and psychology (minor in biology). I love traveling, reading, painting, cooking, and anything to do with the outdoors ( I am an Eagle Scout after all). If I am not busy teaching I am probably hanging out in NoDa or Plaza Midwood.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am very internationally minded. I grew up with exchange siblings from Hungary, Colombia, The Netherlands, Finland, and Korea. I have visited with all of them multiple times and been to many of their weddings. I have travelled to 4 continents and over 40 countries. I am always looking to meet new internationally and travel minded friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot of non fiction, historical stuff on all topics.
I do enjoy Kurt Vonnegut, Franz Kafka, Russian literature (Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Gogol, etc.), Edgar Allan Poe
I love anything by the Coen Brothers or Wes Anderson. I have religiously gone and seen the premiers of every superhero film from Iron Man onwards. I love old school Hollywood.
Music is a long list. I grew up on classic rock (David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young etc.) I have an extensive vinyl collection. I really enjoy jazz, reggae, hip hop. I am very much into alternative/indie music such as Mac DeMarco, Beach House, Foster the People, Tame Impala, The Black Keys, and so on.
