Overview
About Me
Anna and I are fairly easy going, we respect other cultures and people, and like to think that we don't judge too quickly or form opinions based on stereotypes.
We're out of Auckland a lot and we regularly have visitors so we aren't always available for hosting. But we host people when we can!
We live in Titirangi, Auckland.
We have 2 small (crazy) children, a girl and a boy.
We love meeting new people, learning new languages etc. We are also Christians so we live our lives by those principles and love seeing the world God created.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We have hosted a lot of people at our house in Auckland, and I (Kurt) have also Couchsurfed my way around Europe and Morocco.
It has been a great experience so far, seriously there are heaps of cool people out there and sometimes you just have to take a leap to meet them. Couchsurfing provides this meeting facility so I really like this site. Every Couchsurfing member I have met has been positive.
Music, Movies, and Books
Many different types...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rode a camel in the Sahara, rode 1,100km at once on a motorbike (fuel stops aside), rode through the Austrian and Swiss alps (on a motorbike, not a camel) - fantastic.
Climbed a pyramid in Tikal, Guatemala.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach some travellers the nuances of the english language (see there's a word already - nuance). I want to practice the other languages I am learning with people as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Our hospitality, and a little about what it's like to travel with children.
