Overview
About Me
I'm an energetic, outdoorsy, vegan, science educator. If I am awake there is a good chance I am smiling. I'm optimistic and I don't sweat the small stuff. I really like to dance and can regularly be found dancing around in my kitchen.
I would likely classify myself as a jack of all trades (and a master of none), and am often classified by others as a nerd. I'm okay with that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've met nothing but lovely people on couchsurfing, and I've learned a lot from each of them. I find surfing is great way to travel in a new city, and hosting is an excellent way to keep the city I live in feeling new.
Interests
I enjoy reading, rock climbing, running, cycling, hiking, and making videos. Also, Im a big time science geek.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've decided that The Talking Heads are a religion, and I've read The Martian enough times that I could probably quote half of it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I measured the world with my bicycle and two sticks.
Teach, Learn, Share
Take me on a hike and I can teach about all kinds of awesome plants and ecological interactions. I can also walk quietly, I promise. I used to teach rock-climbing, and whether your looking to try it out for the first time, or just have someone belay you - I'm game. I'm learning German, and am always looking for someone to speak with me like they might with a 4th grader.
