I’m Kush — a small-town-bred filmmaker and photographer from West Bengal, living between Kolkata and North Bengal. I’ve spent more than a decade working with different people in the Bengali film scene.

For most of my life, travel wasn’t really my thing — it was just for work or the occasional weekend trip. That changed when I started collaborating with travel companies. I began hitting the road more often, meeting people, exploring places, and it honestly shifted how I see everything.

Now I mostly take travel-related projects — work that helps fund my travels and keeps me on the road. My goal is simple: to experience new cultures, meet interesting people, and show my community how differently people live around the world — through my visual storytelling and grow as a person.

My living situation shifts between Kolkata and my hometown in North Bengal. I can’t host at home, and I can only host in Kolkata when my roommate is out of town. Either way, I’m happy to keep you company if you’re visiting either place.

I am a big time movie buff, It's my passion and profession. Traveling is more like a new found interest for me, I'm far from being an experienced traveller. I spend most of my free time watching videos on YouTube, learning about things that I find intriguing or playing games on my computer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly spend my time on YouTube watching educational content. I’m a movie buff — I watch all kinds of films and have seen about 90% of IMDb’s Top 250. I love music but don’t stick to any one genre. Reading is a habit I lost and I’m trying to bring back, though I do listen to audio stories — both fiction and non-fiction.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m introverted by nature, so I’m probably not the best company for partying or hanging out 24/7. But I’ve always been a good listener. Over the years, I’ve talked to many different kinds of people, which gave me a unique perspective on life.

I can teach a few camera tricks, share some health or self-help tips (I learn a lot about these), introduce you to my language and culture, and suggest some great movies and series. When it comes to learning and sharing, I’m curious about just about everything — and that’s one of the reasons I’m here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Being a filmmaker, photographer, editor, and writer, I make professional-level videos and photos. I’d be more than happy if my skills are useful. Beyond that, I bring my time and company—pets usually adore me. I’d be utterly grateful if you’d like me to help document your place better. I’m good at telling stories through the lens.
