Just a Slavic soul wondering trough the world with a fiery Balkan spirit. I like to think that I'm spontaneus, curious, friendly, hospitable, sincere . . . hopefully I don't deceive myself too much.

I love my country, people and hometown with my whole heart despite our many flaws.

I enjoy life as much is it lets me. So far I've been very lucky.

I try to lead a healthy lifestyle an exercise daily. Smoking is not my thing, but we can grab a couple of beers, rakija or whatever

Do good things and good things will happen to you. It's as simple as that!

Big believer in self-improvement, personal responsibility, helping your loved ones and the wider community. Clean your backyard first, then change the world (or at least your own microcosm).

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Because I love meeting new, hopefully interesting people and visiting different lands. As you probably know, the best way to truly experience and understand the place you are visiting is by meeting and befriending the locals.

I find traveling very eye-opening. It gives my a better understanding of the world, makes me more empathetic, more understanding of others, shatters my prejudices and misconceptions and makes me appreciate more what I have back home.

One of my dreams is to travel to every country in the world, but I am most enchanted with th East. I've explored parts of Europe, the Caucasus and the Mediterranean so far.

Intereses

Reading, dancing, learning, mountain climbing, travelling, biking, medicine, biology, history, maps, politics, geopolitics, sociology, religion and other interesting stuff.

I'm currently reading Revolt in the Desert by T.E. Lawrence. A great adventure and has some vey interesting insights about the Arab world.

Before I travel to someplace I like to watch at least one movie from the country I'll be visiting. For anyone interested in learning more about the Serbian mentality I suggest watching Death of a Man in the Balkans.

I listen to everything that pleases my soul, but if I had to pick genres, it would be metal.

Skynard's Simple man is one of the songs that I find a lot of comfort in.

Helping a couple of friends and some people from my wider social circle who suffer(ed) from depression to combat their sickness, seek help and change their life. I'm very passionate about this topic and actively trying to break the taboo concerning it!

Every crisis in life is a potential for personal growth. Keep that in mind when things get rough.

I love learning and sharing knowledge and I spend a lot of my time studying, browsing Khan Academy, Wikipedia and reddit. Did you know that there are species of ants that grow gardens of fungi? Some of them have even domesticated plant fleas from which they extract honey.
