About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Collecting stories, experiences, and friends.
ABOUT ME
I like meeting people, drinking (though I don't have to drink to have a blast - it is a learned survival skill among foreigners when teaching English in South Korea). I make friendly acquaintances easily, and have a handful of fantastic close friends. I'm on Facebook if you want to check me out.
I've been through England, France, Italy, China, Japan and Thailand, and am interested in furthering my travels in both Europe and Asia (and, really, anywhere).
I grew up hearing my dad telling us stories of his travels, which inspired me. Now when he whips out "I remember this one time I was backpacking in Morocco..." I can answer with "I remember this one time I was in Beijing on Chinese New Year..."
Politically I'm pretty open-minded, love sharing ideas and info, and like to debate.
I'm fond of the coffee-house vibe - places you can relax with a cup of tea/coffee/chai, ect. and read, and I love festivals, especially if I understand the culture a behind them.
PHILOSOPHY
Live without regrets.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books/authors: Kim Harrison (The Hollows series), Jim Butcher (The Dresden Files), Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game), Snow Crash, ect.
Music: Just about anything, but I'm not fond of hard rap and the majority of Modern Country. I love finding new music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed the Great Wall of China, gone snorkeling in Thailand, listened to whale-song in Hawaii, watched the skaters swarming Paris in France... and ready for more. =)
Teach, Learn, Share
You don't need to speak someone's language to like them. Some of my favorite people in Korea were people who didn't know much English. As I didn't know much Korean, communication should have been difficult, but it wasn't.
Also, when in Thailand ALWAYS remind the cabbies to turn on their meters. They won't want to, but if you insist (repeatedly) they will.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, China, Japan, Thailand
Countries I’ve Lived In
South Korea, United States
