I am

Kateřina Váňová, I come from Beskydy mountains in Czech Republic. I am an illustrator, painter.
I create author's books, I paint authentic watercolor paintings - I paint what cannot be captured by the eye.

I studied Hollarka in Prague and illustration in Pilsen; Here I live and work currently. I was studying painting in Rome at the Accademia di Belle Arti.

I work as a culture organizator in the Old synagogue in Pilsen, I organize concerts, exhibitions, events, festivals.

I paint.
Most of the paintings I paint on a grimy, half-crumbling dust-old paper that I find in a cottage, and then I have a deep relationship with them. This is one of the reasons why I decided to create this space, where you can see my work and find just your image that will speak to you and you will love to live with it, in form which is inexpensive but still authentic.
