About Me

I'm from Georgia, currently living in Aachen, doing my masters in Physics.

I do voice over for educational stuff, some ad freelance here and there and since 2015 I've recreated 3500+ Khan Academy videos in Georgian.

For the past few years I have been pretty invested in podcasting, listening to tons of podcasts and also trying my hand at it together with a friend. It's pretty fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't coushsurfed before actually, this might be my first time and I'm curious to see how it goes. This wasn't planned, which usually makes things more interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - All sorts of things, no real point in listing them I think. Currently re-listening to a Georgian hip-hop Trio - KayaKata, which might be interesting to try out if you haven't heard of them.

Movie - I'm not sure if many people usually have a favorite movie, but I actually do and it's There Will be Blood. The last one I watched was White Noise with Adam Driver, pretty cosy.

Book - currently reading Infinite Jest, it's quite a fun experience, there are soooo many field-specific words, I actually found a website where I can look them up in advance and I do so for maybe the next 20 pages and then do the reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This summer I found out that my dad thought my green backpack was red and using only this fact, I diagnosed two of my other relatives with color blindness and one of them didn't know he had it.

I believe it is much more interesting to share how I almost got to do some interesting things but couldn't, due to unluckiness or my own foolishness:

- Could have gone to South Korea on a paid five-week research project, but decided to stay and write an exam so that I could get accepted at the university which I left after a semester
- Bought tickets to Gorrilaz and booked a flight to Munich (while I was living in Georgia), got pretty sick on the morning of the flight and couldn't go
- Was going to Taiwan on an international physics tournament, but there was a misunderstanding at the Georgian airport regarding visas and they didn't let me go
- Got accepted at NYU but couldn't afford it and the scholarship program that was supposed to help out got canceled that year

Only way from here is up (?)
