HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm always really eager to meet new people and introduce them to the offerings of wherever I am at the moment. A lot of times, I'm new to the place, so this becomes an opportunity to explore together!

I try to make hosting available as much as possible, but have lead a largely itinerant lifestyle over the past few years, which makes consistently providing accommodation difficult.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have surfed couches in Italy, have hosted in Spain, and have met couch-surfers everywhere in between!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Bogart & Bacall, most independent cinema that comes out of Spain and Argentina, Fellini, Almodóvar, Tati and Truffaut
Music: Really eccentric tastes--everything from Brazilian bossa nova to Russian political rock
Books: I'm a really big classical literature person, and am also really big on Russian and Latin American literature. So, Tolstoy, Chekhov, Dostoevsky, Neruda, García Márquez and Borges.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drinking pulque in a Zapotec village in Oaxaca, walking to the Swiss border from a farm I was working at in northern Italy, and always, eating pastries in sunny plazas around the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you yoga, vegetarian/healthy cooking, vegan baking, and tell you secret things about the motherland. I'd like to learn how to play guitar, piano, and the drums. Maybe we can also paint together. That would be nice.
