About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stay young! Stay free! Stay irresponsible! And see the world :)

ABOUT ME

My name's Peter, but everyone knows me as Kwas (short from my surname). I'm at the end of my studies on Gdansk University of Technology and currently that's my biggest problem, because I don't want to end them at all! Being a student is fun - long holidays, no responsibility, no obligation - I don't want to give up on that! So now my biggest concern is: what should I do, to remain a student, or at least student-like ;)
That would give me the possibility to continue to travel around the world with my friends and that's what I love and what I want to keep on doing for as long as possible.

And did I mention I'm an aubergine?

PHILOSOPHY

I think, I'm still searching for my path.
Till then, I'm trying to be cheerful, friendly and hippie. I really enjoy meeting and getting to know new people, somehow it gives me loads of energy. Maybe it's because I'm a bit of a talker :)
Is this a philosophy?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I'm not able to provide proper accommodation right now (unless you like sleeping in a tent), I have to say I'm rather a surfer then a host. I do try to support my hosting friends whenever possible though.
From time to time I attend local CS community meetings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing tought me that there are thousands of fantastic people all around the world. Every time we surf, cool and crazy thing happens :)
But the situation I remember the best is when we were staying in Tiblisi, in a flat rented specially for the CS community. The keys where hidden in a secret place on the staircase and the owner came three days after our arrival.
- Hi, who are you?
- Well, I live here, who are you?

Interests

Travelling in a quest to meet people of diverse cultures and learn the most from each of them.
Organising aubergine feasts and parties!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
mostly rock (classic! 60s/70s),folk, ethnic and a bit o medieval.

Movies:
I don't watch a lot of movies, but: Guy Richie! In general, but with "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" on the first place.
Fight Club was cool as well.

Books:
Disc World! Especially the City Watch storyline.
Bunch of polish authors such as Andrzej Pilipiuk and Andrzej Sapkowski.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Georgia!
And actually I could end here, cause it says everything :)

But if I have to choose any particular place I'd say Tusheti - a mountain region in northeast Georgia, where Chechenian policeman who hosted and travelled with us gave me a nickname - terrorist - I felt honoured :)
Not to mention the unbelievable landscapes and magic atmosphere you can find out there.
Surely the most amazing place I've ever been.

Teach, Learn, Share

Trying to be open minded, I'm pretty eager to learn everything :)
I enjoy talking about local culture, history and habbits. And I take every chance to practise my english.

Countries I’ve Visited
