Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am a solo traveller who delights in exploring new cities and cultures, couch surfing makes this easier. I mostly rely it for company exploring more than a couch to sleep on but I am open to experiences.

Intereses

I love cycling so would definitely want to cycle nature trails or in cities . I prefer self exploration to big bus tours and more realistic experiences of cities than touristic experiences. Once in a while love to take photos for my memories at iconic places. I am okay as a solo traveller but immensely appreciate people that go out of their way to show visitors around.

Music: indie pop, alternative I do love any nice tunes generally, enjoy some popular African tunes but listen to a wide genre list besides indie pop and alternative
Movies: Historical movies, thrillers and anything nice. All time favourite V for Vendetta and one i recommend to the white folk: To kill a mocking bird
Books: Avid reader of fiction with Ken Follet, Chris Evans, GRR Martin, Tolkiens to the forefront. Read other motivational stuff every once in a while, more in the line of "Atomic Habits"

Algo increíble que he hecho

Hiked to the Nyiragongo volcano lava lake in Democratic Republic of Congo: This was just so phenomenal; seeing the bubbling lava lake and spending the whole night camping at the edge of the volcano in Virunga Park. I was scared at first coz of all the stories I read in media of DRC but the whole experience I would not trade for anything.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Moved to Toronto recently (January 2022) but i’m pretty familiar with downtown and the neighborhoods can take you cycling along the waterfront trail too 😌
