ABOUT ME
i love to travel and doing sport. i hope to get as much variation there exists. I'm not someone who takes days off to stay home, unless this means renovating or doing serious urgent stuff.
I like variety in sports. I'm not someone who does the same sport for whole of his life. I initiated diving end 2010, but quit after 9 months; just when starting the **. The same goes for ping-pong, judo, badminton and many more.
I love adventure. One time me and my cousin just decided (since we just had our sportsbike) to go on a bike trip from Belgium to the Meditterean sea. Even tough I never did something like this and i was just gratuated (so no sports for quite some weeks because of exams) this was done in 11 days, 1150km.
I'm also independant; I travelled by myself when I was 20 to London and two times to Brazil visiting +-10 friends. The first time I barely spoke Portuguese which is a must over there!
Also, i love water sports (the most of all sports). For instance golf surfing. Since i discovered this, i like it even more than skiing. I hope to do some more sailing (or catamaran) because that has been a while and is so nice if it's windy and sunny...just perfect.
With couchsurfing I play weekly squash and basket. furthermore, i try to play football with collegues and every sunday to jog with a friend.
Sometimes I feel like reading a book, but this can be vaporized in a second when there is something to do outside.
One thing that is 100% true about me is that boredom is non-existent. I should relax more but barely can do so. I just like being active.
PHILOSOPHY
The best knowledge is the lack of ignorance
Learn of your mistakes but don't look back in the past what you didn't do
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
trying to go to cs meetings and in that way to meet a lot of interesting people all over the world. When I have the chance I try to organize a meeting as well.
With a friend I arranged one time a big house in Ardennes that was good to host 26 people of CS. It was a whole weekend nothing but fun. Exhausting to organize, but satisfactory in the end.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I discovered CS in February 2009 at an exhibition of travelling (reismarkt) in Brughes. When I registered on the CS site, I went even to a meeting on that very day. Since than I've been to dozens of meetings. Besides regular meetings i also participate in more 'sporty' events like squash, badminton, basket etc.
