About Me

ABOUT ME

I was born in Vancouver and raised in San Francisco and Chicago. I'm an outdoorsy person who loves travel and music. I play guitar and upright bass, and I listen to a lot of music from around the world and try to incorporate it into my writing style.

I am easily entertained. I love hiking and climbing and exploring the wilderness, but I enjoy partying or simply talking just as much.

Also, food is mankind's greatest gift to itself. Trying new food is really fun, and if you surf with me I'll take you to the most authentic restaurants I know!

PHILOSOPHY

The present is eternal. Don't spend it idly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a number of people in Miami and went couchsurfing in Warsaw. Warszawa jest zajabista!

Interests

I'm really interested in different cultures from around the world, and especially their music. I love learning new languages, so foreign language speakers are always welcome.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Spring 2012 I did a study abroad in Perú where we visited Machu Picchu and did a home stay in rural farming communities. I learned a ton about farming and micro-enterprise, and though the people in the mountains don't have much in the way of technology, they have a killer sense of humor and beautiful personalities. I'll never forget my experiences there. ¡Viva Perú!
