About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I sold my house in the USA.. I’m in Costa Rica now looking for a house to buy. I’m going to move there.

ABOUT ME

I have had an exciting and adventurous life…..
and its not over yet 😀

PHILOSOPHY

There is much of life as we know it that needs such a major change .. it seems futile. The whole ongoing growth based economy?? a debt based monetary system with a hand full of masters and multitudes of others enslaved with debt...trained to consume mindlessly as if it will lead to happiness? It is not sustainable yet seems to be raging uncontrolled. pure evil that see's the planet earth and humanity as exploitable for profit .. Yes.. I advocate for a natural law, resource based economy such as advocated by the zeitgeist movement. Often I hear people freaking out about any anti capitalist world...saying there is no such thing as utopia.. I suppose a utopian world is unacheivable but should it not be our goal? Obviously the current profit governed world is not going well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new people with that couch surfing outlook on life

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is old.. i suppose I should update 🤷‍♂️🤔✌🏻🌎
I've hosted a few couch surfers .. About 15 times I think? I myself have only couch surfed 3 times in Costa Rica but hope to do more. I guess spending 2 to 4 months volunteer crewing while living on a sailboat the last 3 winters was couch surfing…. Then I bought my own sailboat.

Interests

Kayaking .. Which used to be whitewater but more touring the last 20 years. I also like art and am getting back into that for fun... photography too. Lot's of outdoor things are of interest, like camping and backpacking. I love sailing and I lived on my own sailboat. … been there done that. Now I’m planning on retirement in Costa Rica

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Old news.. (4/22 to 7/5, 2010) kayaked the famed Inside Passage .. Bellingham Washington to Skagway Alaska .. I very much enjoyed kayaking down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon 2 times in my life. Working and living in Belize, C.A. as an adventure/travel trip supervisor two winters was interesting. I've had a humpback whale cruise by less than 10 feet away while kayaking.. but having an estimated 200 year old loggerhead turtle come to dance with me scuba diving in Belize is still the most amazing wildlife encounter to me.. it was the lighting and eye contact.
