About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to see as much of the world in my lifetime as possible! Born to missionary parents, I've sort of always had the 'wanderlust' in my blood and my passion for exploring seems to only grow with each new adventure!

ABOUT ME

So here's a bit about me: I was born overseas on the tiny island of Bonaire in the Caribbean to missionary parents, I have also lived in Guam and Australia, have traveled a lot but still can't get it out of my system! I love to meet new people, read soppy romance novels, drink iced green tea lattes, memorize random historical facts, take LOTS of photographs or sketch anything that I think is beautiful, and basically take life one day at a time!

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is a book and those who do not travel read only one page." ~St. Augustine

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Let's just say my taste is eclectic when it comes to movies. I like anything from Gladiator to Juno, as long as it's well-acted, smart, and makes a good point. If it is a period piece/historical, even better!
As for music, my taste is also eclectic, but my playlists usually are full of alternative/indie tunes. And I don't really get into rap, reggae, or country...blah.
Books - again anything historical definitely catches my eye, but if the writing captivates me, I'll read it. Some of the latest books I've read that I highly recommend: The Circle of Ceridwen series by Octavia Randolph, The Wolves of Andover by Kathleen Kent, and The Ghost Bride by Yangsze Choo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done so many amazing things - I've traveled to breathtaking places, seen sites and buildings so old I cannot believe they're still standing, I've gone skydiving, eaten foods I never thought I'd see on a plate, and have had conversations with people I never anticipated but which have forever changed my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you all the words to Yankee Doodle, I know how to knit a scarf, I can make an origami fortune teller, I could probably whip up some muffins or even a cake if you like, and I definitely think I can make anyone laugh.
