I have been on the road for 6 years, always bouncing around without a home base. I suppose wildlife is the main focus of my travels and making new connections is a close second. I have too many hobbies to keep up with, I love everywhere I go, and get along with pretty much everybody along the way 🦥🌿

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A major chunk of my resources goes to clean water projects around the world. I would much rather use my money in that way than justifying paying US hotel prices.

I work on National Geographic vessels by contracts when I am up for it and have also been working shifts as a wilderness therapy field instructor at a program in North Carolina. These jobs involve camping in the mountains or sleeping at sea. When I am not working, I am off on international adventures, sleeping in hostels. The social scene of hostels is very important to me and I love the connections that come through them. On the more rare occasions I am passing through in the US, I love to have a base for making new connections.

Interests

Live Music is often what brings me back to the US, and I enjoy playing piano and mandolin myself. I'm always learning new skills/hobbies like slacklining, juggling, and circusy stuff just for the fun of it and love to share the experience. I often go to extreme measures to see wild animals in their natural environment, so I am on the move a lot and don't mind sacrificing comfort.
