Overview
About Me
My name is Kyle, and I'm an outdoor adventure guide, guiding on rivers, oceans, and mountains. I love the outdoors (obviously) and people, and I love to share my passion with others who may not be able to experience the beauty and serenity of nature on a regular basis. That being said, I love meeting new people, making new friends, and learning about the lives that those people lead.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a guide, work is very seasonal, which requires me to travel long distances multiple times a year. I really enjoy travelling to new places, meeting new people, and learning as much as I can along the way. The best part of travelling is all the cool and interesting people you meet, and it's those connections that make geographical locations so memorable. Couchsurfing, I think, is a great way to encompass all of that and make new friendships.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I like all kinds of music, as long as the message is not overly negative or destructive: Classical, Choral, Jazz, Classic Rock, etc.
Movies:
I'm very open minded when it comes to movies, so I like about anything that I watch. I especially enjoy a good laugh, or even a movie that makes me think!
Favorites: Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Pirates of the Caribbean, Made of Honor, Act of Valor, Mean Girls, Out Cold the list goes on and on...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Kayaked some of the most beautiful sections of the Lynn Canal in Southeast Alaska for 12 days
What I Can Share with Hosts
I wouldn't say I'm the best cook, but I can cook a pretty tasty breakfast, whether it's actually for breakfast or any other meal! I've also recently learned how to make some mean vegan chili.
I don't have a lot to offer in terms of material things. However, I have some great stories to tell and a set of random knowledge and skills that I could pass on. You never know when you might need them!
