ABOUT ME

I love adventure, family, laughing, learning, friends, nature and metro, exercise and health, science and art.

I absolutely work too hard, but try and make up for it by never becoming complacent. It doesn't help that I LOVE what I do for a living.

Currently, I research the genetics of cystic fibrosis at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. I'm finishing up my research here in May 2012 and am moving to NYC to start my PhD in Genetics and Development at Columbia University in August. I'm so pumped!

I'm actually new to the couch surfing experience as of February 2012, but have hosted my fair share of friends on my couch as well as lived on a couch for a time too!

The sun rising over the alps in Tuscany, Italy. Seeing a white rhinoceros on safari in Africa. The aurora borealis from my bedroom window fairly often when growing up. Scuba diving off Koa Toa in the Gulf of Thailand. Oops, was I really supposed to pick just ONE???
