Overview
About Me
I enjoy connecting with the earth and living in a way that feels intentional and mindful. I try to think about how my actions impact other people and the environment and try to be as caring as I can, so try to live in sustainable way. This usually includes a lot of gardening, time outside, reducing my waste and energy use, biking, and going out to dance now and then. I feel connected with work towards social justice, environmental justice, and sustainable food production.
I enjoy star gazing, and find a wonder in trying to understand how the miracle of the world and universe works. I like taking my camera with me to document protests, vigils, waterfalls, the planets, and stars.
I'm vegetarian, and love fermenting things! My favorites are mead and ginger beer, but also like making some standard sauerkraut and kombucha.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new people! I love community and really value this concept that's more of a share/community principle. I get to travel and know others along the way. I hope to see new cities, but also look forward to getting to know you a little if there's time.
Interests
I like to think of myself as someone who's constantly curious. I keep trying new hobbies and activities, and love taking in information. I seek to know the truth as much as it can be, and sometimes too caught up in the middle of trying figure some things out.

I biked the Natchez Trace parkway in its entirety! This is a parkway that goes from south of Nashville, TN to Natchez, MI; it's about 444 miles and has campgrounds along the route for cyclists to use. I did it in about 9 days.
