About Me

Arizona native. Sailor. College grad. Ginger. And looking for adventure...

UA Class of 2014 - B.A. Anthropology

Photography is my vice. Canon 6D is my chalice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend and I are escaping the confines (And beauty) of the desert for new times/friends/adventures together across the U.S., Central America, and hopefully, Europe in the coming months.

Her name is Dishae, and she's pretty great. We aren't much of a handful, but love fun. And being weird in public.

Interests

Astrophotography and hiking are the two fav's year round here in AZ; beyond that, we appreciate: craft beer, museums, walking, reading/writing, watching war movies, cooking (Lots of this!), TALKING, meeting new friends, traveling (But don't we all if we're on this app?)

Music, Movies, and Books

This box isn't big enough to corral my lost of favorite books/music/media...

Anything Bukowski, Eastwood, and beach goth will warm us over. Open minded to others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Served in U.S Navy for 3 years before breaking my back (6 places, my sternum, ribs (5 of those guys), and a punctured lung atop my shattered teeth.

I'm walking, and breathing today. I'm in love. Isn't that great?

Teach, Learn, Share

Photography is a great way for me to break the ice with people since, I'm 'muy intervertado'. I appreciate using my lens to learn more about my surroundings, and allowing others to get close to me through teaching on random outings.

Dishae and I are both avid tai-chi-er's (Is that correct?) and appreciate learning new ways of meditation and such.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Knowledge. Stories for days. Laughs. Some great beer. Books. And coffee. Must have the coffee.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, China, Guam, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Costa Rica, United States
