ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small farming community in the western United States. I raised horses and sheep when I was a kid and I love the outdoors. Shortly after college, my husband Kyle and I moved to the United Kingdom where we bought our first house and travel whenever we have the chance. I had only traveled around the US and Canada before moving to England. Fast forward a bit and we've been to 55 countries and now have 2 kids, living in New York. We love traveling and hope to pass that onto our kids!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people and hearing about their adventures. Although I haven't participated as much as I'd like to, every Couchsurfing experience so far has been awesome.
Kyle and I would love to take someone out for coffee or drinks if they are in our area. Between working full-time and two kids, we stay pretty busy. Send us a request early and hopefully we're around if you send us a request!

Interests

Mainly traveling - a lot. We try to go somewhere new at least once a month. We also enjoy concerts, festivals, coffee, beer, and trying new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm currently finishing up school, so I haven't had a lot of extra time to read. When I do find time, I enjoy a good travel book, comedy or suspense novel. My taste in music is pretty extensive. I'm happy listening to classical, oldies, pop, country, indie, or rock. I do like upbeat songs, so I usually default to something along those lines. Whatever the music, I think it's always better in person, so I'm always scanning the local venues to see who's playing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing?! How do you narrow it to one? I've been very lucky to enjoy many amazing moments in my life so far. If we meet one day, I'll tell you all about them. :)
