ABOUT ME

This is an impossible task!!! I'm a million different things in a million different places.....The only thing I've ever wanted to do with my life is travel and I haven't found a single place so far that I haven't loved completely! I'm a pretty eclectic chameleon type of person, very happy to fit in with any circumstance I find myself in and tend to stay fairly relaxed through most situations. I'm passionate about experiencing diversity, giving a fair go to all, saving to planet (yes I'm a greenie!), peace, love and cookies.....Most of all I really hate writing about myself, sorry!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just started. Love the concept- why only see the parts of a city that a guidebook recommends? The best times in a place are when you know the locals and this project gives everyone that opportunity everywhere!! I cant wait to show off my home town and pay forward to kindness, enthusiasm and generosity we've been shown thus far

People in general- I love people watch, talking to new people, hearing about what makes them tick, appreciating why they're not like like me....

Sports and being fit. Will watch, partake in or happily chat about pretty much any sports but love softball, soccer, ice hockey, footy....the list is actually quite long!

Conservation of the planet and it's inhabitants of all types

Movies- as before, I'm pretty happy watching pretty much anything but my best of the best would have to include Garden State, Juno, Little Miss Sunshine and pretty much anything Disney ;)

Music- really eclectic and am so so so proud of home-grown Australian artists. Most listened to include...Gotye, Powderfinger, Wolfmother, THe Fratellis, Kings of Leon, The Gorillaz, Lior, Augie March, The Shins, The Streets, The Go Team, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Postal Service, Jet, Powderfinger, The Butterfly Effect, The Music, Snow Patrol, Manu Chao, The Cat Empire, Maroon Five, DJ Shadow, The Beach Boys....so many others that I can never think of when I'm put on the spot! (I told you it was eclectic)

Books- I'm loving that now that I'm travelling rather than at uni I can actually read again rather than feeling guilty about not reading textbooks! I like to read books that relate to the place I'm in at the time. Fiction that will also give me insights into a place/culture are the most rewarding.

Seen: (A small part of) The world!!! Every inch of it so far has amazed me!!!

Done: Slept the night amongst a pack of lion cubs and been woken at dawn by one grooming and bathing me!
