My wife (Susana) and I live between Iquique Chile and Summerland, Canada. We are Volunteer hosts in these locations, and then volunteers ourselves when we are traveling usually for at least 6 to 8 months at a time.
SUMMERLAND CANADA: In the heart of the Okanogan BC.. we are currently living in a campground, and seek people to live in our community and keen to meet travelers from other cultures and show them our way of life and all the local things in Summerland .. send us a msg if your in the area! Lashes of Cs love.
IQUIQUE CHILE: Susana, her family, and I have decided to take on very unique project that will affect many kids education in the future. We will use our own experiences from the past 6 years traveling and living out of our backpack, bringing the “world” to the kids of the small town of Pozo Almonte and areas. As we both are very “cultural aware” we want to invite Volunteers from around the world to our home to share your time with our family. (Cultural Exchange) We all respect each other and work as a family, at the end of the day we are all here to enjoy, learn, explore, make friendships, and have an adventure!

ABOUT US
We are a newly married Chilean + Canadian couple that seeks adventure and world wide connections. We have been apart of the CSCommunity from the beginning, we now have life long friends with some amazing experiences around the world, and yes, we even met on CS!
It has been a year full of changes from when we met in NZ in 2011, traveled to SE Asia, India, UK, and Chile then moving around Canada for the past 2 years. From the day we have met it has been; changing, planing, challenging, discovering, moving and learning each other. We are always looking to catch our dreams by living it. Being travellers is what keeps us amazed , and we love to be amazed!
Susana and I have been lucky to share experiences from the original spirit of the CS community from many years and we hope that this trip will bring us the same. I hope that you can share a part of your life with us for some time.
Lashes of Love,
Kyle & Susana
HISTORY
Our story is one of those unconventional travel romantic stories..
Kyle, in 2009 I left Canada for the first time on my own on a $100 flight to cross the ocean and discover that the whole world was waiting for me, I join a travel community called “Couchsurfing” and became a fanatic. Scotland and Australia brought me beautiful experiences for my life, but the most important was coming to New Zealand. On 5th of October 2011 a chilean girl sent me a "couch request looking for a place to stay.......
We share lot of time together house sitting per two weeks, and after that we set a tent on a little community in the Main Park of Christchurch, the Occupy Movement, manifestations for harmony, donation market, free hugs, a magic life full of peace and love. We share a dream while we was falling in love.
Our life together is a journey, and this one of the main step to keep it going. All the people in our life being part of our little adventures, we love to share this moment with you all… Today, we are married and traveling as always :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few things that i can remember off the top of my head
Drove across Canada from Coast to Coast with my Dad in 75 hours, in the winter time!!
Hitched hiked from Edinburgh Scotland, to Isle of Skye! Its like New Zealand in England's back yard ..
Climbed the Tiger Temple in Krabi Thailand
Treking in New Zealand for days to a Naterial Hot Spring in the middle of the mountains
Took the local buses for months all over the South of India.
Camped in the Salar De Unyni in Bolivia. (the largest salt flats in the world)
Walked the Original INCA trail in Peru
Teach, Learn, Share
I have volunteered my time doing many projects in different places around the world and want to contintue to feel more ful·filled when I help someone in need. When I work for someone else, its just to help fund to get to the next place.
I started learning more about the Occupy movement, after a few days I got evolved with the movement for nearly a month. I began to visit all of the Occupys, Dunedin and Invercargil. I learned of the local problems, as well as the global greed, we assist in the organization and actively participate in community. I was and still am a full time "Occupyer" I began to host people out of my tent giving them a chance to broaden their knowlege of Occupy, meet other people from around the world, share, stories, work together, building communities from the "park"up.
On the West Coast in Okarito I was welcomed by woofing, helping with the care of children, maintenance and daily work of the Hostel. I participated with the small community of 30 people in the markets by selling Chilean pies and cutting tickets at the few musical shows.
Saving a little money to continue traveling Susana and I worked at a high standard Lodge on the wild west coast as a second chef I do enjoy my time here in this very natural and peaceful environment in the wilderness. Preparing our hearts to flow in the next volunteer opportunity.
