ABOUT ME

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Grew up in Seattle, Washington, U.S.A. and studied English and Spanish literature at a university an hour south. From March 2012 until present, ived in Salto, Montevideo, and Punta del Diablo, Uruguay, teaching English at CERP del Litorral, the Instituto de Profesores Artigas, and serving breakfast at a hostel on the beach.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfed in Madrid, Barcelona, and Minas, Uruguay, all grand experiences. Never hosted, though would like to.

Interests

Poetry, making collages out of found objects, singing Irish sea-shanties, French New Wave films, Julio Cortazar's writings, the Spanish language, dumpster-diving.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Memory of a hurricane on Oahu when I was 3 or 4, a tarp whipping against a palm tree; a bullfight in Spain, the clean-up crew delivering the coup-de-grace at the bottom of the bull's skull;
