Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Studying how groups make meaning and generate intimacy through physical practice. Sharing what I learn with students.
ABOUT ME
I love traveling but do not get to do it as often as I would like.
Most of my time is now spent as a professor of sociology in upstate New York.
When I can I explore the city on my bike.
PHILOSOPHY
I approach the world with the curiosity of a child or alien. I hope this never ends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am more than happy to serve as a tour guide. I have had great experiences staying on people's couches and learning about new cities from others.
Couch Surfing is one of the most inspiring services/networks I know of.
Conferences are now my way of tricking the bureaucratic powers that be into funding my exploration of new places.
If you come to minneapolis I am always happy to lend you a bike for a tour around the city. There is no better way to see a city.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Mostly good luck. Some not so good luck.
