I think I'm curious, spacey, analytical, introspective, silly, neurotic, sympathetic, and creatively driven. A large source of optimism for me is the idea that knowledge--along with a certain set of value commitments-- can provide a path to true well-being. Generally speaking, I love the world and people.

Socially, I am warm and anxious. Actually, I have no idea how I come off to others. A friend once described my sense of humor as "audacious and brazen", which I took as a possible euphemism.

I live with my wife (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/merily-salura), we are both lucky to be working on our Ph.D.s in philosophy. She studies continental philosophy of art, and I study analytic ethics. I'm down with every kind of philosophy, and really like Buddhist philosophy too.
