I grew up on Orcas, a small island located off the coast of the pacific northwest. Growing up stuck on the same rock (a beautiful rock, but a rock nonetheless) encouraged me to embrace a tight-knit and supportive community. Slowly I developed a love for the outdoors and spontaneity. The island provided numerous ways to indulge in these interests, and an easy way to connect with people who share them.

When I graduated high school I took a gap year and flew to Europe with a friend for a two-month trip around Croatia, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain.
