About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make all of life's missions possible

ABOUT ME

I'm a very proud Australian Indigenous person, who values my heritage, culture, community & family.

I´m currently exploring these concepts from another perspective, as I travel the world for one year.

I love the simple pleasures in life: nature, animals, good people, health & well being... yet at times thrill-seeking moments that make me go "WOW"!!!

Am known to always be on the go, however am learning to take time to relax and observe and absorb all that this amazing world has to offer.

PHILOSOPHY

What you give is what you get returned. (not inspired by Savage Garden)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

- Meet with fellow couch surfer hosts for a meal, drink & chat
- Surf couches
- Anticipating returning the favour (once I´m home & if the vibe is right)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve had really great experiences whilst travelling and couch surfing (5 times) through Europe.
It´s the best way to make connections with wonderful people, participate in authentic and everyday moments, and see the sights through the eyes of a local person.
AND the networking is endless, perfect for the journey ahead.

Interests

Nature: I am always looking for opporunities to explore and appreciate the sights, sounds, smells of our precious and natural environment, whilst also respecting it. (outdoor recreation or just ´being´)

Physical Activity: I need to move!! Dancing, hiking, riding, skateboarding, surfing, tennis, netball, running, yoga, pilates or just playing with dogs and/or kids.

Music: My ipod is one of my most precious travel items. Love getting lost in lyrics, beats, feeling of whichever genre fits the mood. I have visions of playing an acoustic guitar and singing my own songs, yet am neither a player nor song-writer...

Learning new things: The above for example. In general: watching, reading, listening, trying... Anything from cooking, historical events, self-development, how things work, psychology...

People: Such curious beings aren´t we?!?! Everyone´s interesting and beautiful in their own way, but I´m particularly interested in connecting with genuine, interesting, kind hearted & open minded people whom I can be myself, enjoy a conversation a memorable times with.

In the context of my current travels...

It's those unexpected moments whilst waiting at the train station, sitting at a café or passing by, when I have had spontaneous and often humorous interactions [verbal and non-verbal] with a local person. I walk away smiling, knowing a thing or two about them, about the place in which I'm surrounded and feeling a great sense of "this is what it's all about!" With regards to travel and also humanity.
