About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn more about geography, and met people :)
ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Kylie.
I'm 29 years old and come from Australia. I studied Business and Accounting and finished my degree in Japan. I've been working in Australia with accounting numbers for a few years now. In the meantime, I'm traveling the world to improve my horrendous knowledge of geography and history.
I love numbers and the colour blue. I'm a bit of a nerd, I enjoy academia, patterns, logic, numbers, and the gamut of language, from foreign languages, to vocabulary, improving spelling, punctuation and grammar, and studying etymology, although I'm always interested to learn from an expert. Oh, and I love puns.
As a couch surfer, the good news is that I am low maintenance. I am easy to please and want for nothing (or at least very little). I'm happy and content if you offer a spot on the floor and nothing more!
If you were to offer advice, conversation, food, a mattress, all these things are never necessary but are appreciated if and when they happen. Usually, my Couchsurfing experiences so far have resulted in some conversation, some food, some talking about ourselves and where we're from, and usually ends with an invitation to contact me when you make it to Brisbane :)
PHILOSOPHY
Set a good example. Be friendly, but also honest. Be the change you want to see. Opportunities are what you make of them. Better to regret something you did do, than something you didn't. Amazing things can happen just by talking to people.
That may look like a string of quotes, but I didn't copy/paste them. I just wrote them because they are what I believe and what I try to live by.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started Couch surfing in 2011, and it was a great experience. I have also hosted international travellers but for some reason none through Couchsurfing yet! Brisbane is a beautiful city and Australia is a beautiful country. I would love to introduce you to what I know and love, including the wild kangaroos and my favourite island getaways.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It continues to be fantastic! I think it's wonderful when someone offers their couch to a traveller. It takes someone special. Thank you :)
Interests
I like mountain climbing, drawing, good puns, fishing, pointing lasers, confusing cats, eating all sorts of foods!!! Bad puns, trying to learn languages (even if I have trouble pronouncing some new words!), listening to locals talk about what they know, think and like, since they know much more than me!
Aldo, did you know that 50 divided by three, divided by three is 5.55555555 recurring? I thought it was pretty. I told you I can be a bit weird sometimes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Sadly I'm terribly out of the loop when it comes to hip and happening movies and music. I want to read more classic novels though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed Mt. Fuji during a typhoon. Oops. There's a big story about that, involving the most fantastic police team I have ever, ever met. I'll tell you about it sometime!
Teach, Learn, Share
I traveled around Australia when I was younger and have a few favourite places. I can share with you information about the Northern Territory, all our capital cities, various islands, where to find wild kangaroos, and help with mountain climbing and some of our beautiful natural sites. I love living in Australia and if you ask I will try to help you. It's my home! Otherwise, I can teach you pi to 50 digits, but there's nothing special about that :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Very no fuss, low maintenance. I roll with whatever your place throws at me. It's fun!
