Enjoying what life has to throw me after finishing Graduate School and withdrawing from the PhD program.. but learning is always a must!

ABOUT ME

I'm a fun loving individual who is about soaking up what life has to offer. I am addicted to learning and theory and enjoy being presented with new ways of seeing the world. Though i very much love to travel I have not always had the opportunity to do so, whether I was chained down by school or work I try to travel as much as possible. I love reading and listening to music though not very much up to date with pop culture - which is kind of ironic because I'm studying Gender and Media.

I am originally from Southern California but up to the Pacific Northwest for Graduate School and then moved to Atlanta, GA for a PhD program. I currently live outside the city limits of Decatur in a quiet neighborhood backing up to a park. I believe that life is short and you can't let the bad things get in the way of enjoying your time here and instead must realize you can control how much you get out of life for the most part.

I love to eat food, however, am allergic to most of it so it makes it really difficult but very much love getting together with friends and loved ones and coming up with new ways to make food adventurous and "kym-friendly" :-).

Interesses

I love being in the outdoors, hiking camping (both backpacking and car camping) swimming in the ocean or lakes, or rafting down the rivers.

I love school and in such love reading whether it be something for my theory class or something for fun! I recently got swept up in Wilbur Smith novels. I found them as I was traveling through Italy summer of 2011. But no matter which one i pick up, i just fall in love with the writing!

Also i love learning different languages or just trying to understand more about other people.

I LOVE DANCING and music! I could dance all night every night for the most part as long as the music is good and keeps me going!!! I've definitely been known to get lost in tunes of music and forgotten where I was!

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

I would say as of now climbing Waynupicchu was one of the most amazing things I have done so far. Climbing the mountain and seeing the sun rise right above Machu PIcchu as you rose to the crest of the mountain and could just see the sun rays breaking through the clouds and shining down on the city below you.

And traveling to Nepal and watching the sunrise up over the Himalayas.
