About Me

*New to Barcelona (and to Spain). Want to meet cool people. Cannot host for now*

- A friend once described me as "ageless" (as in the concept of age doesn't apply to me). I hope to do honor to those words.
- Open-minded: if the person is genuine, then there's a big chance I will be interested in understanding him/her.
- Fairly transparent (and still working on this) as this is the only way to create meaningful connections.
- Rational thinking is important to me. Argumentation over other forms of persuasion.
- More interested in the world of conceptualization than in its applications to reality. I enjoy having discussions on metaphysics, ethics, politics, psychology, identity, etc.
- I also like to party and forget that I am able to produce any kind of thoughts.
- I watch lots of movies/series, and I read (and podcast) non-fiction stuff.

Currently researching stuff about how flow states translate into brain activity, and the role of self-awareness and external stimulus in it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to Spain and I want to make the most of my time here. This means getting to know its places, but also meeting people with whom I can have interesting conversations; people to learn from and to share my thoughts with.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some movies/series: Eyes Wide Shut, There Will Be Blood, The Prestige, Ratatouille, Pan's Labyrinth, Shawshank Redemption, Unforgiven, Benjamin Button, The Pianist, The Remains of the Day, The Secret Life of Words, City of God, Mad Max FR, Jesse James, Waltz with Bashir, Westworld, Peep Show, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Knick, Samurai Champloo, Adventure Time, etc.

Some non-fiction authors: Sam Harris, Kurzgesagt, Waitbutwhy.

Music: a bit of everything (classical, rock, reaggaton, Shakira, almost whatever). Lately very much into techno: N'to, Worakls, Brejcha, etc.and EDM in general.

Also, Borges.

Teach, Learn, Share

So far I've preferred to take the "generalist" path rather than the "specialist" one. In fact, the focus of my study/work has changed a lot during the last 10 years. From economics to advertising/branding, to media studies, to filmmaking, to game design, and currently into psychology/neuroscience stuff.

These are some of the things I can talk about with some confidence but by no means it means that my interests end up there. I'm eager to learn more about so many things and, most of all, to have stimulating conversations with people that have a unique point of view on whatever subject.

I'm also a decent basketball and ping pong player, so I'm always down to play those (or any other sport, really), or board games.
