Hi I am Kyra, I am usually a solo traveller (or sometimes with my boyfriend) and I believe that while the purpose of traveling is often to see interesting places in reality it is the people that you meet along the way that create the long-lasting memories. I'm learning to go with the flow of wherever life brings me and trying to leave a positive impact on people and less of a negative impact on the environment. I am very thankful for my amazing experiences with couchsurfing and hope to be able to host guests one day as way of returning the favour.

I normally work in healthcare as an occupational therapist (don't worry- even English speakers don't understand my job, I will try to explain in person!) I am currently living in England with my Dutch boyfriend and we hope to move back to Australia temporarily in the future.

I would really like to meet locals while I am travelling to get a better understanding of the places I am visiting and to learn from people's experiences in life because I think these are the reasons that Couchsurfing was created. The people I have met through Couchsurfing have provided me with some of the best memories of travelling and I am looking forward to meeting more people. I hope to be able to host people when I can eventually life somewhere for awhile.

I like just about all music except heavy metal, it depends what I feel like on the day. I like movies and books that are inspirational even if they are fiction and I will be happy to hear about what you have enjoyed.

I know it sounds cheesy but I'm still ridiculously happy that I randomly met my boyfriend in Bosnia when we were both travelling.

I can share vegetarian cooking skills, I am happy to answer questions you have about Australia and am happy to clean up after myself. I would love to learn new skills including crafts or games or different cooking skills.

I am happy to talk, cook together, go for walks, hikes or runs, or try to help people practice English and to answer any questions about Australia- no we don't typically have koalas or kangaroos in our backyards or suburban streets but it can happen in some areas!
