About Me

In my life I hope to travel to various placed and fill out a "dream" journal I have made where I can put pictures of the things I want to/have experienced. I have a huge desire to learn about other cultures, not simply consume them. This means I don't particularly enjoy too many tourist attractions, I would rather like to see what locals do and enjoy doing. As a person extremely interested in psychology, I also hope to take the knowledge I have learned and maybe one day apply it to my career.

I really don't know what to write "about me," but I would love to strike up a conversation with anyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join the Couchsurfing website because it seemed like a great way for me to be able to experience various places the way I would like to, with locals. I would really like to create friendships with people from around the world, and this seemed like the way to go. And being as I might be traveling to places alone in the future, it seemed a great way to make traveling a little less lonely.

Lastly, when I am back settled in the USA, I hope to open my home to people wanting to visit Washington state. Currently I live in Mongolia, and if anyone wants to live in a ger, they are more that welcome to come and see how life is in Mongolia while I am still here.

Music, Movies, and Books

I hate favorite questions because that means I have to pick one thing, when really my favorites depend on my mood at the time.

My favorite music would could include bands such as: The Beatles, Young the Giant, Zhu, Black Dylan, Macklemore, Blue Scholars, and more. I like a little bit of everything, from Brazilian music to Bollywood music.

My favorite movie by far is Count of Monte Cristo. Second best is Queen, a Bollywood film. But movies I generally enjoy are suspenseful and thrillers, as well as a lot of Bollywood films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think living and working in Mongolia as a volunteers is pretty amazing. The experience has been a roller coaster and learning one of the hardest languages for a English speaker to learn. I have learned more about the culture, had some very unique experiences, and have personally grown in many ways.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not too sure what this section is supposed to be about.

But I have taught English and social work practices in Mongolia.

I have learned community psychology and applied it during my service as a Peace Corps volunteer. I have learned many valuable things about the cultures I have visited, and the friends I have who are from and live in very different parts of the world.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, England, Mexico, Mongolia, Scotland, South Korea

Countries I’ve Lived In
