About Me

Studying Music and Italian at Colorado College, in my third year! Play guitar and piano and my favorite niche presently is music technology - programming experimental music with electronics and coding/researching modern interfaces and breakthroughs.

Looking to meet friends up in the mountains, itching to hit the slopes (skier) for more than just day trips from Colorado Springs!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Short-term - to find cool places near Colorado's best mountains (Key, A-Basin, Breck) so that I can come up for a long weekends or overnight in general!

Long-term - plan to travel a lot and possibly work abroad due to my interest in languages - I was on track to declare a major in Romance Languages before falling in love with the Music Department!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent last summer (2016) living on my own in the region of Puglia, Italy, at the southern-most tip of the heel of the boot in a small town called Santa Maria di Leuca. I taught sailing to kids ages 6-15 at a small sailing school where I lived on-site with the other Italian, (all-male) instructors. While I definitely was good at the language, as I'd studied it rigorously for around two years, I was in no way prepared for the dialects and nuances of Salentino (a region within Puglia) culture! Acclimatization took a while due to language barriers and general blunders, but by the end, I was meeting new people who were telling me I sounded and behaved as if I was from Salento - best compliment ever.
