About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Besides saving the world, I have also to find a job.
ABOUT ME
Hey folks,
I'm Kyrill, almost 30, and at the moment I'm studying in the east of Germany, Leipzig. It has been a few years, since I was on bigger trips to West Africa and Southeastern Europe, but since university caught me, I spent most of the time in Germany. I'm a quite nice person, interested in politics, history, societies and languages. I'm not very religious or esotheric. Usually I'm quite sportive. Until last year I was regurlarly practicing Thai Boxing (something similar to Kickboxing), but now I enjoy more swimming.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live. I appreciate persons who not just take care of themselves, but also of others in their surrounding, may it be professionally or through more personal bondages, like family, friendship and so on.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, my living conditions are at the moment a little bit unsteady, and that's why I don't offer a couch.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am totally new in this community. But when I was in Western Africa for a few months, there we slept at peoples places in towns and villages. Our hosts were usually very friendly, and eager that we had a good time there. But I must say, its a special feeling when you see, that you are from the rich "West" and you can travel everywhere you want to, but in other regions of the world people have great obstacles doing this.
Interests
Well, my interests at the moment are in my studying subjects (languages, history), also in politics and nature.
- cooking
- flying
- politics
- traveling
- boxing
- swimming
- history
- languages
Music, Movies, and Books
My "project" at the moment is to read all plays, short stories and novels of sartre in chronological order, but I just reached his second greater novel "The Age of Reason".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The two things I remember as very impressive were both when I was flying in an aeroplane. Once I flew back from Nepal, and when I looked out of the flying plane at the mountians, they seemed to me so huge, as if I was just standing on the ground and looking at them. The other picture I remember occured on another trip, when we were flying over the clouds, the sun was just setting, and everything looked like an endless, orange, and regularly hilly landscape.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really have to improve my cooking skills (ask my friends). I think showing me some cooking skills (well, I know how to make noodles, salat, eggs, but I mean the wicked stuff), would be a nice way to spend time together.
