Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel as much as possible and drink lots of interesting wine.
ABOUT ME
I have been lucky to travel a bit over the years, both as the offspring of a military officer and on my own in my later years. I don't really have room to host guests, but would be happy to meet up for coffee, cocktails or a meal, or provide info on the area.
PHILOSOPHY
It's important to have an open mind, but not so open that your brains fall out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My experience with Couchsurfing is somewhat limited: I hosted a visitor from France when I lived in Crete, and I've met several other people over the years with whom I've become good friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A 5 hour hike up a mountain in southern Italy, then sleeping under the full moon in our bags and waking to the sounds of the bells on the horses in the meadow.
The Pyramids in Egypt, and the shadows on the dunes of the Sahara in late afternoon.
Partying with a group of paleontologists who had just made a big discovery in Madagascar.
Microlight flight over Victoria Falls.
Helicopter ride to a glacier in Alaska.
Oops, I guess that's more than one...I'll stop now.
