About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Fill my passport with travel stamps and visas.
ABOUT ME
My family made me a traveler at a young age. I first traveled by train with my mother everywhere and afterwards got used to flying around everywhere. By the time I was 18 I drove across the country (south to north) direction and visited Niagara Falls during a college fall break. It was my first solo trip that I was able to decide where to go, what my budget was, plan everything and meet new friends. I love my passport because it lets me see different cultures all over the world. I grew up as a child of two cultures, one I was born into and another that I was raised in. I believe those two cultures and their similarities and differences make me see new cultures with a different viewpoint and I like learning about differences between cultures. I'm forever a student.
PHILOSOPHY
Nothing lasts forever, unless it's a giant stone monument in a phallic shape, in that case, it's usually either up or down.
No, really, I'm raised in the Confucious Tradition, I was born about an hour's ride away from his temple.
Have fun, live and let live, help yourself be better by helping other people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently in school and would probably make a poor host at the moment. When I'm out of school I would be a better host and I plan to be. I'm trying to see as much of the world as I can and I want to make friends across cultures. I believe that understanding cultures that are different from the ones we live within help create harmony and better understanding between different groups. I also believe that the best way to get to know a culture is to meet local people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed all over the US with various friends and family. Most of the time while I'm overseas in a country without any people I know I end up at a hotel. I find that I require very little to fall into a restful sleep. I've camped underneath the stars on a beautiful summer night before, for me that was better than some hotels I have been in!

Music, Movies, and Books
Almost anything - I like zombie movies particularly.
I have an English degree which means I've learned to digest 200-300 page books within 2 days. On my free time I read about 4-5 books a week, now that I don't have free time, I just read a lot of medical science books.
I've read over 300+ Fiction and Non-Fiction novels at the minimum according to goodreads.com.
I played violin for 7 years, piano for 4 years and studied vocals for 2 years (I'm better at the vocals).
I fancied myself a screenwriter at a young age so I watched a ton of movies. I like movies a lot now because I can study with it in the background.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Got pooped on by a parrot fish in the face while snorking in the Great Barrier Reef, guess he didn't want me following so closely. (Yeah, I said poop.) Penguin watching in southern New Zealand with my 86 year old grandmother. That was one amazing trip.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have survival skills. I'm also a medic?
I can teach micro-origami!
