About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm in Osaka until mid-August working with Cirque du Soleil, and I'd love to meet some friends while I'm here! I'd love to be introduced to Osaka to a deeper level than a regular tourist :)

The world is SO immense, and the possibilities within it are limitless, but man am I ever going to try to live them all. I have an insatiable curiosity about everything, big and small, and I like to figure out how - and why - the world and everything in it work as they do.

There is nothing more valuable in the world than life. This being said, I measure wealth in lives lived. The millionaire who knows their business through and through, since it's all they've lived, is a pauper compared to the vagabond who has seen the world, experienced many cultures from the inside out, and who has worked hard doing the many things that gives them passion. Achieving this wealth is what drives my entire life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm very interested in looking for new friends as opposed to couches to stay on, as I'm set up in a hotel for the duration of my stay in Osaka.

Interests

The society that I live in doesn't have enough of an influence on dreams (of the awake sort). One of my dreams is to help others realize theirs in both meanings of the word; to find out what they are, and to make them a reality.

My personal dream in life is to become the coolest grandfather in the world, without ever having children. It's a long story.

I'm also big into climbing, photography, snorkeling, travelling, making drums out of old propane tanks, reading, animals, riddles, art, music, poetry, languages, cliff diving, and breathing like I mean it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent a solid 12 months of my life volunteering in different locations around the world. I've seen a newborn puppy, minutes old, suckling it's mother. I've seen a fish with wings, and skinny dipped in phosphorescence. I've taught a child to ride a bike, and another 2 to read. I've captured lightning with a camera, and I've liberated the creative side in a friend.

I frequently get high just by thinking about the beauty, immensity, and the endless possibilities in the world. It's cheap dope.
